I visited Rapido last week because of their coupon in the flyer. The coupon advertised a synthetic oil change for most cars for $49.95, and a standard oil change for $24.95. I needed an oil change on both of my vehicles, so I called in advance to verify that the coupon would work for both our MINI Cooper and Kia Sorrento. After I brought the first vehicle in to be serviced, I was told they could not do the synthetic oil change on my car for the advertised price, and it would cost about $30 extra, and because I had my wife following with our newborn in the car, I opted to leave my car for service versus shopping around. I don't know why this was not clear over the phone when I asked if the MINI qualified, but whatever: strike one. When I returned alone to swap out the Sorrento for the MINI, I asked again does the Sorrento qualify for the advertised price on the oil change? I was told "Yes", and then after I swapped vehicles and returned home, received a phone call stating, "well, we didn't realize that it had a cartridge filter and this and that so it's going to be more like $39." I was not letting that happen twice in one day, so I politely told them to not do the service, that I would pick up my other vehicle and take it somewhere that will actually change the oil for $25. Fast forward one week. I take the Sorrento to a place that not only has you in-and-out in 5 minutes, but actually charges $25. The first thing they ask me when they open the hood, "when was the last time someone touched your oil filter?" I replied "last week, but I wouldn't let them do the service because they tried to upcharge me twice in the middle of service." Well, guess what. Engine oil is leaking everywhere, it's all over the engine, because whoever looked at your oil filter last week did not fit the o-ring back correctly. Fortunately, it was caught in time and the worst part was that the entire engine was a mess. Had it not been caught, the engine could've seized causing severe damage to the car. THE BOTTOM LINE: I don't really care whether this was done through CARELESSNESS or VINDICTIVENESS - it is unacceptable. I would like to add, which I meant to do weeks ago but life has gotten in the way, I did let Rapido service my MINI Cooper for a synthetic oil change prior to the aforementioned fiasco (as stated above), and ever since, my CHECK ENGINE light has been on. It is not the gas cap, or the air filter, and could possibly be a coincidence, but since I have only owned this car for under 15,000 miles, that is not likely the case. Thanks, Rapido!

Used this shop since 2006. There was a jump in price for the oil change. On a 4 cylinder car 42.77 is a ridiculous amount from the 25.99 special which we just paid back in Feb of this year. Good customer service would have been to advise prior to the service that there was a jump in price and the reasoning behind it. Then I had a price quoted on tires which was astronomical compared to most of Pinellas counties new tires and also received the statement that Wal-Mart tires ware faster even if they are the same exact brand. Since I spent a decent amount of time in the auto industry I did no appreciate the bold faced lies to my face. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Hello Arron once I saw your post and I look to see who you were. I don't think I know you personally. If you have being coming here since 2006 then you know that we have not raise our prices since 2003 when we open. You also should know that we sell is a premium brand oils MOBIL and MOBIL1 at our shop and they have been going up in price steadily in the past few years. Also you should know what we do for you. We check your tires pressure. We change your oil with up to 5qt of MOBIL Sp.5w/30 or 5w/20. we replace the oil filter. We check and fill all fluids. Front and rear differential fluid, Transfer case, power steering fluid, transmission oil up to one quart, Radiator coolant 50/50 mix up to one qt. and windshield washer fluid. also we do an inspection in the vehicle to make sure is safe to drive. including ck the air filter, pcv , tire threads, serpentine belts, and lights. We try to provide a full service experience so you don't have to worry about the condition of your car. We recommend to all of our costumers to join our text club. The text club will provide you coupons and reminder for your next oil change in that way the Full service oil change will be less expensive. They replaced a part on my truck that was working fine, then in the prosses they broke a part, that was to be used on the new part, and what I was quoted they charged me over $200.00 more.. And the problem I went in for was still obvious,,.. Then they told me I needed new tires, which Goodyear inspected my tires said my tires were fine, also they told me my altinator was bad,, went to wills altinator shop they said it was working just fine, also rapido said my brakes were about gone,, had them inspected by just brakes, again my brakes are fine .. Be careful they will replace parts that don't need replace. I'm in the process of getting an attorney, also contacting the BBB. And the news media..

Hi Charles I am so sorry for this misunderstanding. I should have explain my self better. After the Inicial Inspection of your truck (you were present). I found that not only the power steering pump was making noise but also the pulley was rumbling( I used the stethoscope). I gave you I quote to replace both parts the powers steering pump and the pulley next to it. You decline the replacement of the pulley. I blame my self for not making it clear enough that both parts needed to be replace. I knew you were not happy when you got the truck back that's why I decided to give you the pulley installation at the cost of parts and labor the shop was not going to make any money only the tech. We even had bought the pulley. We were waiting for you to come the weekend after to replace it . If there any thing I can do for you call me at work. Roberto S. Owner
